Salary :
Indicative salary for Assistant Professor (Grade-I), Assistant Professor (Grade-II) and Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) Positions

Assistant Professor (Sr Grade) 30000-2500-55000 (Gross Rs. 100000)
Assistant Professor (Grade-II) 18000-1500-30000-2000-58000 (Gross Rs. 74640)
Assistant Professor (Grade-I) 18000-1500-30000-2000-58000 (Gross Rs. 65520 )

Gross includes Basic, DA, AGP, HRA, LTA, Medical and other allowances. The compensation package is designed to reward the best talent and will not be a limiting factor for the right person. Gross pay in table is at minimum basic.

Minimum Criteria For Different Positions :
1. Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
M.Tech or equivalent with first division and throughout a good academic record.

2. Assistant Professor (Grade-II)
M.Tech or equivalent with first division and throughout a good academic record + 2 years experience at the University level.

3. Assistant Professor (Senior Grade)
(i) Ph.D., with first division in preceding degree and throughout a good academic record + at least 2 years post Ph.D. experience. Publication requirement is essential. Should be active researcher, capable to develop syllabi, courses, labs etc.

(ii) While considering candidates, the competent authority may approve relaxation of post Ph.D. experience for exceptionally good candidates.

Humanities & Social Sciences and Mathematics :
4. Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
Ph.D., with first division in preceding degree and throughout a good academic record.

5. Assistant Professor (Grade-II)
Ph.D., with first division in preceding degree and throughout a good academic record + 2 years experience at the University level.

6. Assistant Professor (Senior Grade)
Ph.D., with first division in preceding degree and throughout a good academic record + at least 4 years post Ph.D experience. Publication requirement is essential. Should be active researcher, capable to develop syllabi, courses, labs etc.
