Software Engineer Recruitment :

The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala is set up in 2000 by the Government of Kerala to be the state’s premier institute in teaching and research of Information Technology and related disciplines.

The Institute offers post graduate programmes using state-of-the-art IT support and infrastructure. The following temporary posts are required to support various Projects in Geo-informatics Division of the Institute.

1. Senior Software Engineer (Web GIS for soil fertility mapping-RRII) – 1 post
Essential Qualifications: M.Tech. (IT)/ B.Tech with Post-graduate Diploma in IT/M.Sc. (IT). 4-6 years Experience in Linux Administration in production environment. Demonstrated Experience in configuring and managing Open Source Software. Programming skills in Java, R and R Shiny. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Desirable: Red Hat Certification, Basic Knowledge in Hadoop
Remuneration: Rs.25000-30,000 Per Month, depending on the experience

2. Senior Web GIS Developer (Web GIS for soil fertility mapping-RRII) – 1 post.
Essential Qualifications: MSc (IT/CS/Geoinformatics)/ B.Tech in IT/CS, Good Programming skills (HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript). Profound knowledge in Web MAP APIs, Spatial Database etc. Minimum 3 Years experience in Web application development.
Desirable: Should possess theoretical knowledge in Web GIS and Spatial Data Integration. Strong knowledge in configuring and customizing Web MAP APIs. Knowledge in Android application development. Good written & communication skills.
Remuneration: Rs.21000-25,000 Per Month, depending on the experience

3. Geoscientist (LRIS) – 1 post
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Geoinformatics. Minimum 2 years of project experience in related area.
Desirable: Proficiency in geospatial software, Spatial Data creation, editing and management, Experienced in Spatial Data Quality assurance practices. Should have good articulation skills.
Remuneration: Rs.18000-21,000 Per Month, depending on the experience

4. Android Developer (mobile application spatial data collection-KSLUB) – 1 post.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc.(IT) \ B.Tech (IT) \ MCA. Minimum one year experience in developing Android applications.
Desirable : Knowledge in creating web applications desirable
Remuneration : Rs. 12,000 – 15,000 Per Month, depending on the experience
