Senior Research Fellow Recruitment :

Walk-in-interview for the senior research fellows (Rs.25000 + 20% HRA) in projects funded by different agencies i.e., NASF (ICAR) & NIPHM is to be held on 18th January, 2017.

Name of Project : NASF-ICAR: Identification and molecular tagging of gene (s) controlling resistance to chilli leaf curl virus infection in chilli (Capsicum annuum L)
Name of the Position : Senior Research Fellow
No. of Positions : 1
Essential/Desirable Qualifications : Master / Doctoral degree in Plant Pathology/ Entomology/ Horticulture (Vegetable breeding)/Genetics and plant breeding/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry with specialization in Virology- transmission of vector borne viruses.
Desirable qualification : Research experience of plant virology-handling of vector borne viruses, vegetable breeding, molecular markers, and gene expression

Name of Project : NIPHM : Impact of indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides
Name of the Position : Senior Research Fellow
No. of Positions : 1
Essential/Desirable Qualifications : Master / Doctoral degree in Entomology / Life Sciences
Desirable qualification : Experience in pest and disease data collection in field and willing to travel to out station experimental trials

Terms and Conditions:
(i). Age limit: Maximum age 35 years with age relaxation of five years for SC/ST/Exserviceman/ women and three years for OBC on the date of interview.

(ii). The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for the period ending March, 2017, which may be extended periodically subject to performance till the termination of the projects.

The candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this Institute/ICAR, as the positions are co-terminus with respective Project.

(iii). The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 18th January, 2017.
(iv). Interested candidates should report at 9.30 AM on the scheduled date in Horticulture Research Station, Lam Farm, Guntur-34

(v). A panel will be created to keep candidates in waiting list and candidates may be selected from this panel subject to requirement where essential qualifications and pay scale is similar. The panel will be valid for six months from the date of declaration of results.

(vi). At the time of interview, the candidates are required to submit a set of copies of all certificates in support of their qualifications. Candidates who fail to submit the original certificates will not be interviewed.

(vii). Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
(viii).No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(ix). Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
(x). Four copies of CV in the prescribed format and one set of self-attested copies of the proof of documents to be submitted at the time of interview.

1. Name with self-attested passport size photo, 2. Father’s/mother’s name, 3.Date of birth, 4. Present and Permanent address, contact telephone/mobile no. and email ID, 5. Category SC/ST/OBC/GEN, 6. Qualification details (Institute, year and marks in class 10th, 12th, graduation, post graduation and Ph.D, 7. Training attended, 8. Research experience, 9.Publications, if any 10. No Objection Certificate from present employer, if applicable.
