Forest Guard Recruitment :

Applications as per prescribed format attached herewith are invited from the candidates of Indian nationality residing permanently in the State of Tripura for filling up of the following vacancies under the Forest Department, Government of Tripura.

Name of the post : Forest Guard (Group-C)
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-02, Rs.5,700-24,000/- Grade Pay Rs.2100/
Vacancies : 36
Age : Lower age limit shall be 18 years and Upper age limit shall be 40 years as on 01-03-2017. Age relaxation by 5(five) years is admissible in case of SC/ST candidates.
Educational Qualification required: Matriculation or equivalent standard And the candidates should possess good physique and sound health and should be fit for Forestry Field works,

Physical Standard:
The minimum physical standard should be as follows
Physical Standards | Height(in cm) | Chest(in cm) | Normal Expansion (minimum)
For Male(General & Scheduled Caste):- 163 84 05
For Male( Scheduled Tribes):- 152.5 84 05
For Female(General & Scheduled Caste):- 150 74 05
For Female( Scheduled Tribes):- 145 74 05

The candidates should be medically fit for arduous nature of field works. Thecandidates will have to cover a distance of 25 kms & 16 Kms within 4(four) hours in the walking test in case of men & women respectively.

Since it is a forestry field post physically handicapped persons will not be eligible, The selected candidates shall be required to undergo Police Training (Arms Training also).

The applications may be submitted at the following offices during working days from 22 March, 2017 to 10 April, 2017 (up to 05.00 PM).

Candidates should appear personally for submission of their application when their initial physical measurements of height & chest will be recorded and petitions accepted by the concerned District Forest Officer if his/her age, qualification, other criteria are as prescribed in this advertisement is fulfilled.

Candidates who do not have required Educational qualification/ Physical standards in respect of height and chest need not apply;
