Walk–in Interview to be held on April 22, 2017 at Kolkata Port Trust Guest House, 93, Chowringhee Road, Kolkata–700020 (near Exide Crossing) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kolkata Port Trust, Haldia Dock Complex intends to engage 04 ** (Four) Marine Engineer Officer Class III (NCV – 2nd Engineer) on contract basis under the Marine Operations Division, Haldia Dock Complex, KoPT at Haldia.

[** The numbers of engagements are indicative only. The same may increase / decrease in future, as per actual requirements]

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the aforesaid contractual engagement, the details of eligibility criteria of which are given below.
Age: Age should be 25 years or above as on April 01, 2017.

Essential Qualification:
Candidate must have obtained Marine Engineer Officer Class III (NCV – 2nd Engineer) License from Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, and Govt. of India.

Experience: Candidate must have more than 01 year of experience as 2nd Engineer.

The selected candidate will be required to be on board the vessel as per direction of Dy. Manager (Marine Engineering) or his authorized representative and will be required to perform office work to assist Dy. Manager (Marine Engineering).

The selected candidate will be entitled to a monthly compensation of Rs. 80,000/-.

The selected candidate will normally work at Haldia. However, in case of necessity the selected candidate may be required to work at any place within the jurisdiction of KoPT.

The selected candidate will be entitled to 3 (three) days leave for a period of 2 months (proportionate in case of shorter period of engagement) which shall be availed of with prior approval. For any absence, in excess of 3 (three) days, pro-rata deduction will be made from the consolidated remuneration.

The contractual engagement may be terminated by giving one month’s notice from either side. However, the engagement is terminable on 24 hours’ notice for unsatisfactory performance and for any act which is considered to be derogatory / detrimental to the interest of H.D.C. / KoPT.

The selected candidate will have to submit character / antecedent certificate in the prescribed proforma.

General Instruction :
(a) Candidates are requested to register over telephone with Dy. Manager (Marine Engineer) (9434036788) / Sr. Dy. Manager (P&IR) (9434058419) prior to 10:30 a.m. April 22, 2017.

(b) Candidates must appear for the Walk-In-Interview with an application (Proforma enclosed) furnishing detailed bio-data, including name, date of birth, permanent address, address for communication, contact phone number, e-mail address, nationality, religion, details of educational and professional qualification, details of experience and post held (indicating name of the employer, salary drawn and present pay scale) or any other relevant information, with one recent passport size photograph and self-certified photo copies of relevant certificates / testimonials.

(c) Please note that the said Walk – in Interview for the said selection will be held at Kolkata Port Trust Guest House, 93, Chowringhee Road, Kolkata–700020 (near Exide Crossing), from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 22, 2017 and for which the candidates must report to the officer in-charge at the aforesaid venue at 10.30 a.m. on the said date.
