Field Attendant/MTS Recruitment :

Applications on plain paper giving personal, academic, professional and contact (cell no., email address etc) details are invited from eligible candidates for the below mentioned positions available in the Centre of Kashmir Himalayan Biodiversity- Documentation, bio-prospection and Conservation sanctioned to the University of Kashmir by the University Grants Commission under the CPEPA scheme.

The position are purely temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project.
Name of the position : Research Consultant
Number : 01
Eligibility :
i. M.Sc in Botany/Zoology/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with at least 55% marks.
ii. Ph.D in the concerned subject.
Applicants having sufficient experience in bioprospection of biodiversity for novel bioactive molecules; assessment, measurement and conservation of biodiversity would be preferred.

Name of the position : Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow
Number | Eligibility :
02 M. Sc in Biotechnology/Biochemistry with at least 55% marks. Applicants having experience in isolation and purification of bioactive compounds and elucidation of their activity etc. would be preferred.

02 M. Sc in Botany/Microbiology with at least 55% marks. Applicants having experience in classical and molecular taxonomy, metagenomics would be preferred.

02 M. Sc in Botany/Chemistry with at least 55% marks Applicants having experience in biological invasions, ecological modeling and natural product chemistry would be preferred.

01 M. Sc in Geography/Geoinformatics with at least 55% marks. Applicants having P.D. Diploma in Remote Sensisng and GIS and/or working knowledge of remote sensing and GIS would be preferred.

02 M. Sc in Zoology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Fishery Science with at least 55% marks. Applicants having expertise in following fields shall be preferred.
i. Classical and/or molecular animal taxonomy.
ii. Biochemical profiling and molecular characterization.

Eligibility :
i. BCA or B.Sc IT with 55% marks. or
ii. Graduate with 55% marks and having passed one year’s Diploma course in Computer Science/Computer Applications from a recognized Institute.

Name of the position : Field Attendant/MTS
Number : 4
Eligibility : Middle pass and physically fit.
Applicants with experience in multiple areas, such as field survey, collection and processing of biological material, gardening, driving etc would be preferred.

Applications along with photocopies of certificates/ transcripts and other documents indicating qualification, percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, age, certificate of having qualified NET/GATE/other similar accredited test and experience (if any), must reach the undersigned by or before 03rd December, 2016.
