AGE :
The minimum age (as on 1st/anuary, 2016) for recruitment at the rank of constable should be 18 years and maximum age should be 28 years.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
The minimum Educational qualifications shall be 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University, and the candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.

APPEALS RELATING TO PST / PMT :
Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Screening Test or Physical Measurement Test and may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the Chairperson of the Recruitment Board on the same day.

The decision of the Chairperson shall be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained. The Chairperson will record the reasons thereof for each case separately in writing.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION TEST (WET) :
The candidates who qualify the physical trial (SAT, PST and PMT) will be required to appear in a Written Examination Test (WET) to be held at such number of Centres as the Central Recruitment Board may decide. The WET shall be of 50 Marks and will consist of the Objective Type Questions.

The candidate will be required to mark his answers on an OMR Sheet that will be provided. The WET shall broadly cover the questions on Driving Aptitude, the knowledge about the Motor Machinery, Road and Traffic Signs, General Awareness etc. and will also test the candidate’s Road sense. There will be no negative marking.

DRIVING PROFICIENCY TEST (DPT) :
The candidates who have qualified in the Physical Trials and passed written test shall be required to appear in a Driving Proficiency Test (DPT) which will be involving the hands on experience of the candidate on a vehicle.

DPT shall be of qualifying nature and the candidates will have to qualify in the DPT to be considered for preparation of Provisional Merit List. The list & admit cards for such candidates will be uploaded after the result of written test.

The venue of the Centre for DPT will be mentioned in the admit card & also uploaded on the website.

HOW TO APPLY- ONLINE APPLICATION FORM :
(i) There will be a Application Form which shall only be available online on the website, punjabpolicerecruitment.in from 15.10.2016 (09:00 a.m.) to 04.11.2016 (upto 11:59 p.m.).

(ii) The candidates should go to website punjabpolicerecruitment.in to fill the registration form. After filling the First Page (Registration Page) of the registration Form, a unique Registration ID and Password will be generated.

Once the unique Registration ID is generated, the candidate has to fill the application form and required to deposit the fee using online payment gateway or by depositing fee at local HDFC branch as under:
(a) General category candidates Rs 600/-
(b) SC/ST/BC candidates Rs 200/-
(c) Ex-Servicemen candidates No Fee
(However, the lineal descendants of ex-servicemen will have to pay the application fees, as applicable to their category)

(iii) For depositing the fees, the candidate would have an option of either depositing the same online through (i) Net Banking (ii) Credit/Debit card payment or (iii) the candidate can deposit the fees offline manually by taking the print-out of the Fee Challan Form, after submission of the application form. The print of the form should be downloaded.
