Group ‘C’ Fireman Recruitment :
Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Indian Nationality for the Group ‘C’ post of Fire Supervisor/Fireman/Fire Engine Driver to reach Officer Commanding, 413 Petroleum Platoon ASC, Pin-905413, C/O 99 APO by registered post.

The scale of pay, number of vacancies, educational qualification and other requirements are as under:
Name of post : Fire Supervisor (Now Station Officer)
Total vacancies : 01
Qualifications :
Essential
(i) 12th standard pass from a recognised Board.
(ii) Senior Fire Supervisor Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.
(iii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers hose fittings and fire appliances and equipments like fire engines, trailer fire pumps, foam branches, etc.
(iv) Must have served in a recognised civil or defence fire brigades in a supervisory capability for a minimum period of three years.
Desirable
(i) Station Officers course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
(ii) Experience of instructional duties in a Fire Service Organisation

Qualifications :
Essential
(i) 10th Standard pass from a recognised Board.
(ii) Must have at least three years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving licence.
(iii) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test
Desirable
(i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances
(ii) Experience of having worked in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade I or Senior Fireman
(iii) Should have passed the general Fire Fighting Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub-Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.

Qualifications :
Essential
(i) 10th Standard pass from a recognised Board.
(ii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipments fire engines, trailer pumps, foam branches.
(iii) Must be familiar with first aid use and maintenance of fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
(iv) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
v) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.
(vi) Must have served in a recognised Civil or Defence Fire Brigades as Fireman Grade II for a minimum period of three years.
(vii) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test
Candidates will forward application as per Annexure I to IV duly completed, properly sealed, in an envelope to the address mentioned against the post applied for, through ordinary post/Registered post/Speed post.
Application in person will not be accepted. Candidates are requested to superscribe the words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF” on the top of envelope while sending the application form.
The last date of receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News. In case of candidates belonging to Ladakh Sub Division of Jammu and Kashmir state, Lahaul & Spiti District of Pangi Sub Division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island & Lakshadweep the last date for receipt of application shall be 28 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
However the crucial date for determining the age limit for all shall be closing date for receipt of application i.e. 21 days from publication.
The photocopy of the following documents/certificates to be attached alongwith application duly self attested:
(a) Three self attested latest passport size photographs, one pasted one on top right corner of the application, second on the Acknowledgement card cum call letter and third on the admit card for written examination.
(b) Attested copies of following certificates will also be submitted with application:
(i) Educational qualification certificate
(ii) Date of Birth Certificate
(iii) Caste certificate where applicable.
(iv) Discharge certificate for Ex-Serviceman or NOC for the competent authority for serving Defence Personnel who are completing the prescribed period of Army Services within a year from the last date for receiving application.
(c) Self addressed envelope affixing postal stamps of Rs. 25/-.
Note – 1 : Central Government Civilian Employees must furnish “No Objection Certificate” from their employer/office else their applications will not be considered.
Incomplete / ineligible applications will be deemed invalid and rejected without intimation to the candidate.
It is made clear that merely fulfilling the basic essential qualification requirements does not automatically entitle a person to be called for test. The selection will be made strictly on the merit basis. The decision of appointing authority regarding selection/rejection will be final.
It is also made clear that the numbers of posts/vacancies are tentative and recruitment process can be cancelled/suspended/terminated by the Appointing Authority at any stage, due to administrative reasons.
