Surveyor Recruitment :

The Chief Port Administrator, Port Management Board on behalf of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration invites applications from interested candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria for engagement of professionals as Consultants as indicated below for a period of one year to manage the statutory functions of Survey of Vessels registered under Andaman and Nicobar Inland Vessel Rule 2016.

Eligibility Criteria :
(a) Possesses a degree or equivalent in Marine Engineering and Ministry of Transport First Class Certificate of competency issued by Director General of Shipping, Government of India or equivalent certificate recognized by Government of India
or
(b) A basic degree in Naval Architecture with 10 years experience in sea going regular vessels/ Classification Societies / Ship Building yards / reputed International Shipping Corporations or State Port Department
or
(c) Diploma in ship building with 20 years experience in sea going regular vessels/ Classification Societies / Ship Building yards /reputed International Shipping Corporations or State Port Department
AND
(d) Has served in the capacity of a Surveyor for a minimum period of 5 years in the DGS/State IWT Department / State Maritime Board.

Eligibility Criteria :
(a) Marine/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer in possession of minimum Second Class Motor/Steam MOT Certificate issued by Director General of Shipping, Government of India or Equivalent certificate recognized by Government of India and having minimum 7 years of sailing experience
or
(b) A basic degree in Naval Architecture with 7 years experience either / or in sea going regular vessels/ Classification Societies / Ship Building yards / reputed International Shipping Corporations or State Port Department
or
(c) Diploma in ship building with 15 years experience either / or in sea going regular vessels / Classification Societies / Ship Building yards / reputed International Shipping Corporations or State Port Department
or
(d) Master Mariner with 2 years of sailing experience or experience in maritime training / marine survey after having obtained Master’s Certificate issued by Director General of Shipping, Government of India or equivalent International Certificate.
