Applications on plain paper are invited from the suitable candidates with self-attested passport size photograph and full details (name, parentage, date of birth, detailed qualification experiences, present job, salary drawn, corresponding address, contact no., email id, etc.) for ONE post of RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, TWO posts of JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW and TWO posts of FIELD ASSISTANTS (all purely temporary) in the research project entitled Himalayan Cryosphere: Science & Societ.

Description of post : Research Associate
No. of Positions : One
Essential Qualification : Masters in Geology/Earth Sciences/ Geophysics with at least 55% marks; Ph.D. in climate change science/ glaciology/geochronology.
Desirable qualification : Field research experience of working in climate change science/ glaciology/ geochronology. NET/SET qualified; research papers published in refereed journals.
Description of post : Junior Research Fellow
No. of Positions : Two
Essential Qualification :
M.Sc. in Geology with at least 55% of marks; NET/ SET qualified ;candidate with M.Phil. shall be preferred.
Masters in Economics with at least 55% of marks; NET/SET qualified; candidate with M.Phil. in climate change and socio-economic and livelihoods issues shall be preferred.
Desirable qualification :
Field experience of working in high altitude; knowledge of RS & GIS
Working knowledge of computer, statistical software/ tools .
Description of post : Field Assistant
No. of Positions : Two
Essential Qualification : 10+2 passed with sufficient knowledge of working and cooking in high altitude camps
Desirable qualification : Field experience of working in high altitude
