Applications are invited for the following assignment in a purely time-bound research project undertaken in the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology Sikkim under the PI, Dr. Taraknath Kundu.

Name of the Project : Metal catalysed formal diastereo- and enantioselective cycloaddition reactions of carbohydrate derived vinylcyclopropanes

Duration of the position : 18 months
Fellowship : Rs.25,000/- per month + Admissible HRA
Age limit : Less than 28 Years as on 01-01-2017
Essential Qualification :
MSc in Chemistry with minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA from any recognised University. Preferably with specialisation in Organic Chemistry.
Candidate must have either a valid GATE score and / or CSIR – UGC NET (LS or JRF, any).

Candidates will be short listed for the interview based on merit and will be informed via email. (Tentative date of interview will be between 06th – 11th February 2017)
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
Candidates shortlisted for interview should appear in person with originals of degree certificates (one set of self-attested photocopy), and date of birth proof along with any other relevant information (like copies of publications, awards, recommendations etc.)
No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
