Applications are invited from the qualified and experienced persons for the post of Director, Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) on contract basis.

Qualifications for the position :
I Essential :
1. Post Graduation in any discipline
2. At least 20 years of experience in development sectors with 10 years in managerial positions.
3. At least 10 years of experience in working in decentrlization/local governance sector
4. Experience of 5 years in capacity development of local governments.
5. Proficiency in Languages – English and Malayalam (read, write and speak fluently)
II Desirable:
1. Ph D in local governance from reputed university
2. Experience of working at national and international level.
Pay scale: Equivalent to that of a Professor in the University. Persons of outstanding merit significant experience would be considered for a higher fixation/ scale of pay.
The appointment shall be for a minimum period of three years that can be extended upto five years according to performance and mutual consent.
The Upper age limit is 55 years.
