Civil Supervisor, Engineer Recruitment :

WAPCOS intends to fill up the following posts urgently for Project work i.e. “Construction of Substructure, Superstructure and River Training/Protection Works for Rail cum Road Bridge over River Ganga between Ghazipur & Tarighat in connection with construction of New BG line from Mau to Tarighat in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India” for a period of four years assignment.

The requisite qualification, experience prescribed for the posts are as under:
1. Project Manager (1 No.)
(a) Qualification required
(b) Essential: Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Preferred:
(i) Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
(ii) Degree/Diploma in Project/Construction Management from a recognized institution
Experience required :
Total Professional Experience: At least 15 years for Graduate Degree holders or 20 years for Diploma holders.
Relevant Experience:
(i) At least 5/7 years (Graduation/Diploma) experience of handling major Rail/Road Steel bridge construction or well sinking for sub- structure of major bridge project(s) as In- charge or one level below the In-charge of project/specific section of project with Project Management Consultant or Construction Agency
OR
(ii) At least 3 years experience in JA Grade and above of Engineering department of Railways and/or as JGM and above in Civil Engineering department in RITES/IRCON/ RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/ any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined. The person should also meet the hurdle criteria of having at least 3 years experience in construction of Rail/Road Steel Bridge or well sinking for sub-structure of major bridges.
OR
(iii) At least 3 years experience as Superintending Engineer (or equivalent) and above in Government organizations or as JGM (or equivalent) in PSUs either individually or combined. The person should also meet the hurdle criteria of having at least 5 years experience in construction of Rail/Road Steel Bridge in any grade

2. Resident Engineer/ Substructure (1 No.)
Qualification required
Essential: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution.
Preferred:
(i) Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
(ii) Degree/Diploma in Project/Construction Management from a recognized institution
Experience required :
Total Professional Experience: At least 10 years for Graduate Engineer or 15 years for Diploma holders.
Relevant Experience:
(i) At least 5 years experience of construction/supervision of Rail/Road Bridge or well sinking for sub-structure of major bridges with Project Management Consultant or Construction Agency.
OR
(ii) At least 3 years experience either in Gazetted cadre of Engineering Department of Railways and/or as Manager and above in Civil Engineering department in RITES/IRCON /RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/ MRVC/DFCCIL/any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined. The person should also meet the hurdle criteria of having experience of at least three years in Rail/Road Bridge or well sinking for sub-structure of major bridges in any grade.
OR
(iii) At least 3 years experience as Assistant Engineer (or equivalent) and above in Government organizations or as Manager (or equivalent) in PSUs either individually or combined. The person should also meet the hurdle criteria of having at least 3 years experience Rail/Road Bridge or well sinking for sub-structure of major bridges in any grade.

3. Resident Engineer/ Superstructure (1 No.)
Qualification required
Essential: Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution.
Preferred:
(i) Graduate Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
(ii) Degree/Diploma in Project Management/ Construction Management from a recognized institution
Experience required :
Total Professional Experience: At least 10 years for Graduate Engineer or 15 years for Diploma holders.
Relevant Experience:
(i) At least 5 years experience of construction/supervision of Superstructure of Major Bridges with Steel Girder Spans with Project Management Consultant or Construction Agency.
OR
(ii) At least 3 years experience either in Gazetted cadre of Engineering Department of

4. Civil Engineer (Expert/Substructure) (2 Nos.)
Qualification required : Preferably Degree and at least Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience required : Minimum 2 years for Degree holder and 5 years for Diploma holder in the field of Construction of Rail/Road Steel Bridge or well sinking for sub- structure of major bridges at least 1 year.

5. Superstructure Expert (2 Nos.)
Qualification required : Preferably Degree and at least Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience required : Minimum 3 years for Degree holder and 7 years for Diploma holder in the field of Construction of Superstructure of Major Bridges with Steel Girder Spans for at least 2 years.

6. Permanent Way Expert (1 No.)
Qualification required : Preferably Degree in Civil Engineering and at least Diploma in Civil Engineering OR Diploma in Railway Engineering by IPWE.
Experience required : Minimum 3 years for Degree holder and 7 years for Diploma holder in the field of track laying in construction of Railway Lines or Track Renewals for at least 2 years.

7. Supervisor (Civil Engineering) (6 Nos.)
Qualification required :
Minimum ITI (Civil)
OR
+2(Science), Diploma in Civil Engineering is preferable.
Experience required : Minimum 5 years (2 years for Diploma holder)
Relevant Experience:
At least 2 years (1 year for Diploma holder) experience of Civil/Major Bridge works as Supervisor or in higher capacity
OR
At least 2 years (1 year for Diploma holder) experience as Works Supervisor/JE(Works) or above in Railways.

8. Quality Control Supervisor (2 Nos.)
Qualification required : Preferably Degree or at least Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience required : Minimum 2 years for Degree holder and 5 years for Diploma holder out of which at least 2 years as Supervisor and above in Quality Control in Construction of Rail/Road Major Bridge Projects.

9. Surveyor (1 No.)
Qualification required : Minimum ITI (Survey) OR Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience required : Minimum 2 years out of which at least 1 year as Surveyor in Construction of Rail/Road Major Bridge Projects.

10. Computer Operator cum Stenographer (3 Nos.)
Qualification required : Graduate or equivalent from a recognised university. Minimum speed of 80/30 WPM in shorthand and Typing respectively.

11. Clerk cum Record cum Store Keeper (2 Nos.)
Qualification required : Graduate or equivalent from a recognised university with computer knowledge.

12. Office Attendant/ Chainman (2 Nos.)
Qualification required : Minimum 10th Class Passed.

13. Draftsman (Civil) (1 No.)
Qualification required : 10+2 and a diploma in Draftsmanship from a recognised institution. Knowledge in AutoCAD.
Experience required : Minimum 2 years experience.

14. Chainman (4 Nos.)
Qualification required : Minimum 10th Class Passed.
