Recruitment of Ayurvedic Physician :

In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.
Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.
I. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE
1. Physicist in Department of Radiology …… 1 post (2nd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/-.
Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:
Essential:
(i) Master’s degree in Physics/Nuclear Physics from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Diploma in Radiological Physics OR 2 years practical training and/or experience in X-Ray and Electronic equipment in X-Ray Department or Laboratory.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
II. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES
2. Ayurvedic Physician …… 4 posts (3 resvd for OBC & 1 resvd for CFF) (2nd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-
Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential:
(i) Recognised Medical degree qualifications included in the second, third and fourth schedules of Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
(ii) Enrolment on the Central or State Register of Indian Medicine.
(iii) Three years professional experience in Ayurvedic preferably in a recognised hospital or a dispensary.
(iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
III. LABOUR DEPARTMENT
3. Senior Surgeon under ESI Scheme …… 1 post
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-
Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:
Essential:
(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-Section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post Graduate Degree in the speciality concerned.
(iii) Three years work in a responsible position concerned with their speciality after post-graduation degree.
(iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
IV. INSTITUTE OF PSYCHIATRY AND HUMAN BEHAVIOUR
4. Medical Superintendent …… 1 post
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-
Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:
Essential:
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of education qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Psychiatry.
(iii) Minimum experience of three years of work connected with the speciality for Post Graduate Degree holders and minimum experience of five years of work connected with the speciality for Post Graduate Diploma holders. The experience mentioned above has to be after attaining the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Psychiatry.
(iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
