Consultant Interns Recruitment :
The Kerala State Planning Board will hire five consultant-interns for a period of two months to work on the following themes: gender issues, local self-government, health, labour, agriculture, and social services.

Eligibility: Currently enrolled for a post-graduate or equivalent year of a professional course, or for higher academic qualifications. All candidates must be registered students of a recognised University.
A consolidated amount of Rs 24,000 for students enrolled for post-graduate courses and Rs 30,000 for students enrolled for M Phil, Ph D degrees will be paid. They will be paid III AC Sleeper fare to and from their places of normal residence to Thiruvananthapuram. No further remuneration will be paid.
Selected candidates will have to report for work at the Thiruvananthapuram office of the State Planning Board and will be based in Thiruvananthapuram during the period of the internship (unless assigned work elsewhere during the internship).

About us :
The State Planning Board was first constituted in September 1967 with Chief Minister Sri. E.M.S. Namboothiripad as its Chairman. Four non-officials and four officials were nominated as Members.
It was stated that the Board was constituted for the formulation and evaluation of the State’s Plan Programmes on a scientific basis. The Bureau of Economics and Statistics rendered research, library and administration facilities to Planning Board. Vice-Chairman and Non Official Members were full time.
