Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India is an emerging multidisciplinary institute engaged in advanced research invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following position in ILS-IBSD collaborative project “STUDY ON PERSISTENCE OF JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS IN RESERVOIR HOST, PIG IN JE ENDEMIC AREA OF ODISHA, MANIPUR AND ASSAM”.

Name of Position : Project Assistant (01 No) & Field attendant (02 No)
Remuneration : Project Assistant Rs. 16,000/- P.M, Field Attendant Rs. 9, 000/- P.M. (Consolidated)
Upper age limit: 32 years (for Project Assistant) and 28 years (for Field Attendant)
Eligibility and Selection:
Essential qualifications for project assistant:
Candidates must hold a post graduate degree with first class in biological sciences or allied subjects. The project involves animal work, cell culture, ELISA and viral quantitative methods like plaque assay, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR etc.
Essential qualifications for Field attendants:
Candidates must be a matriculate and some work experience on animals. The Project involves collection of animal samples for use in assays like plaque assay, ELISA, qRT-PCR etc. The candidate has to work at Malakangiri District of Odisha for the collection of samples.
Interested/eligible candidates may download application form from the institute website (ils.res.in) and apply along with attested copies of mark sheets and certificates to the Director, Institute of Life Sciences, Nalco Square, Bhubaneswar-751023.
Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable up to two years or until termination of the project whichever is earlier. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Only short listed candidates will be called for one round of interview and personal interaction.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding selection of candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
