Mission Director Recruitment :

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a Scientific Society of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, invites applications for filling up the post of ‘Mission Director’ for National Super computing Mission.

Name of the post : Mission Director
Mode of Appointment : Contract on consolidated pay basis
Duration : 5 years or end of project, whichever is earlier
Consolidated monthly pay : Rs.2,75,000/-(with 10% annual increment)
Tour and Travel Entitlement : As per applicable rules
Location : C-DAC, Pune

Roles and responsibilities:
** The Mission Director shall be the head of the Mission Directorate and shall coordinate the overall implementation of the Mission in alignment with Technical advisory committee (TAC) and Expert Committees.
** Act as centralized liaison body between coordinating and implementing agencies .
** Support the Governing Board, Executive Board, TAC and various Expert Groups.
** Address and coordinate various technical, administrative, budget, finance, purchase and audit matters of the mission.
** Prepare specifications and call for proposals for supercomputing applications from various scientific and engineering community and assess, coordinate and execute such proposals in the benefit of the mission.
** Prepare specifications and call for proposals for NSM R&D projects and assess and execute such proposals in the benefit of the mission.
** Interact with NSM-TAC for technical advice and directions.
** Accountable to NSM-EB for functioning and planned performance of NSM.

Qualification:
The candidate should have first class B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communications/Telecommunications/Computer Science & Engg. PhD in the subject will be an added advantage.

Experience:
The candidate should have an overall post qualification experience of at least 22 years out of which at least 5 years should be in relevant Technical cum Administrative leadership role.

The experience shall include multi technology Research & Development, Technological Product development, Project proposal and report preparation, Project implementation, Training and consultancy services, Research publications, project/ program planning and management etc. of large magnitude and scale.

The candidate should have experience andshould be well versed with the rules and regulations of Government with respect to project executions, tendering, procurement etc.

Age: Should not be more than 56 years as on 30.06.2017.

The application, complete in all respects, in the prescribed Performa along with the attested copies of certificates relating to qualifications, experience, date of birth etc. should reach by or before the last date. For this purpose, last date of receipt of application would be the day falling after 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

Further, the envelope containing the application should be superscribed as “Application for the post of Mission Director, NSM ” and addressed to the Director(HRD), Corporate HRD, C-DAC, S.P.Pune University Campus, Ganeshkhind, Pune-411007.

For applicants from Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir state, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep island, the last date will be 37 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

II. Those who are working in Government/PSUs/autonomous bodies are required to send their application through proper channel. However, to avoid delay, an advance copy may be forwarded directly to C-DAC.
