Odisha State Agricultural Marketing Board, an apex body of Agricultural Marketing committed to develop and strengthen the agricultural marketing system in the State and ensure remunerative prices to the farmer-producers, intends to empanel suitable candidates for engagement as Secretary in selected Regulated Market Committees (RMC) in the State on Contractual basis as per the requisition received from different RMCs on terms & conditions as follows:
The job requires:
** Developing appropriate general and commodity specific strategies for efficient marketing of agricultural produce.
** Increasing farmers’ access to agricultural commodity markets for better price discovery mechanism / enhancing awareness among farmers regarding physical markets/ e-marketing of farmers’. agricultural produce / quality and grade standard awareness amongst
** Organizing FPOs / CIGs for marketing of agricultural commodities.
** Promote market led extension, backward and forward linkages in marketing agricultural produce.
** Preparing convergence plan for trading of agricultural produce.
** Carrying out market / commodity specific analysis to bring improvement in marketing.
** Strengthening contract farming / establishment of private markets / promoting e-trading of agricultural produce.
** Leadership qualities and ability in HR Management to function as executive head of an independent establishment.
Eligibility Conditions:
Educational Qualifications : Full-time two years MBA / Agri Marketing Professionals from Institute of repute.
The candidates must have passed an examination equivalent to ME standard with Odia as one of the subjects and be able to speak, read & write Odia.
Experience : The candidate should possess at least five years relevant experience.
No. of Vacancies : 20 (Twenty)
Age : Maximum Age – 40 years. Relaxable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per extant rules.
Process for application & selection :
Applications in the prescribed format received online or by Speed Post/ Registered Post on or before 12-12-2016 shall be short- listed as per the criteria of advertisement. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed on top right “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SECRETARY, RMC”.

Applicants should not enclose copies of certificates / testimonials / experience certificates along with the application, the originals of which shall be verified before selection. If any information furnished in the application found false or incorrect, the candidature shall be summarily rejected.
Applications of candidates not possessing the eligibility criteria shall be rejected &only short-listed candidates shall be called for a written test / Personal Interview as per discretion of Competent Authority.The selected candidates shall be required to enter into a contract agreement. Canvasing in any manner is a disqualification.
