INDIAN AIR FORCE INVITES UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES TO APPEAR IN RECRUITMENT RALLY FROM 10 DECEMBER 2016 TO 15 DECEMBER 2016 TO JOIN AS AIRMEN IN GROUP ‘Y’ (NON-TECHNICAL) {INDIAN AIR FORCE (SECURITY)} TRADE AT AIR FORCE STATION GUWAHATI, BORJHAR (ASSAM)FOR INTAKES 02/2017 & 01/2018

The Physical Fitness Test for Group ‘Y’ Indian Air Force (Security) Trade is very rigorous comprising of Run, Chin-ups, Push-ups and Bent-Knee Sit-ups. Candidates are therefore advised to come practiced.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS :
Date of Birth Block :
(a) Candidates born between 08 January 1997 and 28 June 2000 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.
(b) In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Educational Qualification :
Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Note – 1:
Boards recognized/affiliated by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) will only be permitted.

Note – 2: Exact aggregate % of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent OR calculated as per the rules of concerned Education Board will only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%).

Domicile Requirement :
To be eligible to appear in the rally at Air Force Station Guwahati, Borjhar, Assam, the candidates are required to satisfy the following conditions:
(a) The School / College / Institute from where candidates have passed the qualifying examination should be within the geographical / administrative limits of States of Assam/Arunachal Pradesh/Mizoram/Meghalaya/Nagaland/Tripura/ Manipur/Sikkim.

If the name of District is not mentioned with the name of Institution in the certificate / marks sheet of qualifying examination, the candidates are to produce “Domicile Certificate” issued by SDM/DM/ Executive Magistrate or any official authorised by the State Government of Assam/ Arunachal Pradesh/ Mizoram/ Meghalaya/ Manipur/ Nagaland/ Tripura OR SDM/DM/Tehsildar or any official authorised by the State Government of Sikkim.

(b) Permanent Domicile of States of Assam/Arunachal Pradesh/Mizoram/ Meghalaya/Nagaland/Tripura/ Manipur/Sikkim who have passed the qualifying examination from anywhere in India are to produce the Domicile Certificate prior to commencement of examination from appropriate authority as given in sub-paragraph 5(a) above.

(c) Sons of serving Air Force personnel whose father/mother is presently serving in any Air Force Unit located in the States of Assam/Arunachal Pradesh/ Mizoram/Meghalaya/Nagaland/Tripura/Manipur/Sikkim, irrespective of their domicile status, are permitted to appear in the rally subject to production of latest SOAFP (Son of Serving Air Force Personnel) Certificate (format available on AFNET CASB website).

(d) Sons of Retired/Discharged/Deceased Air Force personnel residing in the States of Assam/Arunachal Pradesh/Mizoram/ Meghalaya/Nagaland/ Tripura/ Manipur/ Sikkim are permitted to appear in the rally subject to production of proof of minimum stay of one year along with original and a photocopy of PPO/Discharge Book/Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS :
Tenure & Training:
Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable up to the age of 57 years (subject to service conditions). Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at Basic Training Institute, Belagavi (Karnataka).

On successful completion of JBPT, candidates will be sent for trade training of specified duration. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time if the trainee fails to achieve the required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found to be medically unfit.

AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING, THE AIRMEN WILL BE DEPLOYED ON GROUND BASED JOBS AS PER THEIR ALLOTTED TRADE. ALLOTTED TRADE WILL NOT BE CHANGED ON CANDIDATE?S REQUEST ON ANY GROUNDS.

Pay & Allowances :
During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP) and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be Rs. 23,535/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Special Force (SF) Allowance {IAF(S)} @ Rs. 10,500/- per month on completion of training will be applicable to Indian Air Force (Security) Trade.

Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, Family planning allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

Note : The above pay & allowances are under revision by 7th Central Pay Commission.

Job Specification of Indian Air Force (Security) Trade :
Airmen will be part of elite group of multi-faceted air warriors. The job profile entails stringent physical fitness regimen, high level of discipline and involves undertaking special operations and carrying out high intensity security operations.

Note: Airmen will also have to undertake any other tasks as assigned by superior authorities.
